This 'small boy' of mine will turn 4 tomorrow... He went and searched out his sling this morning and asked if I would carry him in it... Of course, I said 'yes'... It felt so familiar putting on this sling that has carried so many of our babies... He immediately lay on my chest and closed his eyes, as if remembering this special place where he would sleep and drink his 'milkey' most of the time when he was so tiny... I miss those days, sling days, they have passed far too quickly... But today my 3 almost 4 year old and his mama were happy that he asked to be in his sling...

ReplyDeleteSo sweet! I miss this too, although I didn't use the sling long enough for my kids to really remember it. But my little one definitely remembers his "milkies"!

ReplyDeleteMissing those days so much that I have gotten work with newborns just so I can wear them too. My next little angel is due mid-April and I have washed my sling in anticipation of wearing her during her mama's rest times.
