Postcards from Christmas...
The excitement! Oh my goodness, the excitement the night before Christmas day... and then the morning came, everyone was awake, Kye was fast asleep, we whispered in his ear that it was Christmas morning and he leapt clear out of bed, running straight to the tree... We have had the most wonderful weekend, family came over for a delicious lunch. Everyone brings a part of the meal, including myself...this really takes the pressure off me on the day, (which I love and I am not constantly in the kitchen!) so we all get to have such a great time together:)
I have just posted some photos of our day...

The cousins swimming...

This little Cape Sparrow was watching us from his nest...

Family sitting on the right in the shade of the Oak tree...
We drove around our neighbourhood on Christmas Eve (a little tradition) to see all the Christmas lights...

The cousins and Granny playing the most exciting board game called 30 Seconds, eventually we were all playing, such fun! We have the South African version, but I am sure most countires have this game, really you must give it a try:) It involves describing 5 words, without usung the words in your description and your partner has to guess what you are describing... oh my! did we laugh!
Thank you for the postcards! Merry Christmas!

A lovely day - family all around and cousins playing together. It made me smile. But I must admit, as other have before me, that our snow and ice (I was frozen out of the Suburban this morning) makes that pool look truly exotic.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous family day - everything a christmas should be!
