Today we went on a splendid outing to the Johannesburg Zoo. Off we went with our picnic lunch early this morning, here are some snapshots...

This was fun! My boys (5 yrs and 2 yrs) LOVED looking at the pictures, especially since we just watched "Madagascar" yesterday.

I love visiting zoos and now I want to travel across the world and visit yours. My favorite photo of yours...the mama and baby. I remember visiting my favorite zoo here which has a huge gorilla exhibit and just loving the bond between the mother and infant. I nursed both of my children so I know that bond. We had one who was sleeping on a ledge and the baby shifted and she instinctively moved to catch the baby and roll over out to get it out of harms way. I know that feeling. We can learn so much from animals and I learn and fall in love every time I visit the zoo.
