Yesterday, a storm was brewing at sunset and we experienced the most amazing sky. Don't you just love these tones of pink and orange? They make my heart feel a warmth that I can't describe, it's like a feeling of complete and utter contentment that I can feel at my core... Suddenly we were in the midst of a swallow migration. There were thousands of swallows circling the sky. They would leave and then fly back all at once as if their consciousness and thoughts were one... It was an amazing sight. You might be able to see some of them in the second photo...

ReplyDeleteI always love picturing where you live, far on the opposite side of the globe, but a kindred spirit just the same. I dream of a day when all of us common-minded bloggers gather for a week of knitting, recipe-sharing, wine and delicious food, and our kids playing together! I'll happily host it...haha!
ReplyDeleteIt's so difficult to capture the magnificence of a sky. And perhaps more to flatten an image of swallows who swim in that ocean of air like miniature dolphins, spinning and swooping and diving in synchronized amazement. They MUST be amazed, to be so free in the air, and yet so unified is joy and fierce speed. I have seen these things here, over my head, and never get my fill of it. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI saw the same kind of sky, but with a double rainbow, when i was in S.A (over a year ago). We where so amazed and exited! It was wonderful. Sadly my photo's wheren't that beautiful as yours, they failed.
