Jenna has just started her second botany block for the year and we are learning about monocotyledons at the moment, it has been so interesting, I have learned so much myself, it's wonderful this homeschooling journey! This is her shaded drawing of an Arum Lily, she took so much care while drawing this picture. Tomorrow we will be learning about grasses, I can't wait!!Great resources for your Botany block are 'The Living World of Plants', by Dr Gerbert Grohmann, 'Botany' by Charles Kovacs and 'Tree of Life' by Rochelle Strauss. I have placed the Loot links on the side bar.
Again, absolutely beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI think Charles Kovacs' books are a dream come true. I wish he had written one on every block. Did you see there is a new one out? I wonder if there are any more in the works.
Thanks so much, oooh a new Charles Kovacs book, do tell?
ReplyDeleteYour daughter must feel a great sense of achievement in such fine work, Linda.
