Aardvark Knitting Pattern and a Giveaway

        



       

      

          



This is my Aardvark knitting pattern, he is one of my favourite patterns and will only be available for sale for a limited time on Etsy and direct download from my Ravelry store as he will be published in my book soon and then he will be delisted from my shops:)

He is a sweet fella. Aardvarks live in Sub-Sahara Africa on the grasslands and bushland, they are solitary creatures and are nocturnal. Their closest relatives are the elephant shrew and elephant and they eat mainly termites and have a keen sense of smell.

Measurements when knitted: Approx 9 inches from muzzle to tail and 6 and a half inches tall.

This pattern is knitted flat with two 4mm / 6 US needles and is knitted in stocking stitch, there are increases and decreases. A fairly easy pattern. The pattern is 7 pages long with detailed instructions and photos and if there is anything that is not clear you can always email me:)

WIP Wednesday

I am having so much fun knitting this cardigan! I almost forgot to start cooking supper, does this ever happen to you? I did however manage to put my knitting back in my basket for a short while and start making a chicken curry with coconut milk and wild rice... anyway back to the cardigan... I have finished the yoke and have cast off the stitches for the armholes. I just added the extra stitches that I cast on to the front sides and back of the cardigan and still cast off the same armhole stitches as the original pattern states. I am going to knit straight down without shaping so it is really easy knitting from now onwards, until I pick up stitches around the armhole for the sleeves.

We have a huge leaf pile underneath our treehouse, the children swing on their rope swing and land in the pile, so much fun, so I thought this would be the perfect spot for the progress photo, except sweet Charlie was pouncing on my ball of wool every chance he got!

I have started a thread on my Mamma4earth Ravelry group for anyone who is knitting the Shalom KAL you are most welcome to post progress potos and chat about your pattern notes:)

Mamma4earth Ravelry Group..

Today I humbly started a Mamma4earth Ravelry group (blush)...
I have been giving this decision a lot of thought and I finally decided it was time. I think it will be a lovely space for all those who knit my patterns from off this blog and my Etsy shop to pop in and visit a while, post photos of their finished knitted items, discuss yarn, patterns, exciting news, share your blog links and thoughts for new patterns that you would like to see in the shop or on my blog, etc...
