My Drum Carder is here!

I am so excited!
It has arrived!!
I went to the post office to post off some parcels and it was there waiting for me! I have been wanting a drum carder for AGES... but the hefty price tag has always stopped me, but then my friend Carle' sent me an email to let me know someone was selling theirs and the price was perfect and so was the carder. Thank you so much to Jean for selling me this beautiful treasure, I love it and cannot wait to use it:) And thank you so much to Carle' who packaged it up and sent it to me, you are wonderful!

I think I am going to try some fibre on it tomorrow, I am so looking forward to this new learning experience. Off to stare at it some more... It is a thing of beauty you know:)
Have an inspired day:)

Warmly
Linda

  10. Hi Linda
Thank you for all your kind words recently with the arrival of our new babe! Hope you are all doing so well and enjoying your autumn. You know, there are very few material things I wish for, but one thing I really would like is a drum carder. You are so lucky!! Enjoy it!
Happy carding. Children love carding too. My boys have had a play on a friend's drum carder and really enjoyed it.
Lovely new chickens too. We are waiting until we get back home before getting chickens.

  12. It's gorgeous, Linda! I am sure you will have such fun with it! I got to use on at a Syrendell retreat and couldn't help but think how much the children would enjoy making their own batts! Have fun, my friend and happy early momma's day!
    Hugs,
    Jen

  13. I am so very interested in wool tools. I think perhaps having tools is my own "hobby." I am looking forward to what you have to say about this one. I have cards - and I've been shown how to use them - still, I am afraid to try. Or would be, if I had wool to use them on. So do tell, dear one. It looks mysterious and wonderful.
