Mohair Cat Family....
This week I have been busy with a custom order of a Family of white Mohair Cats. I had such fun working out the dimensions for the different kittys, and Kye loved them so much, that I think I will make him some for Christmas:) I posted them off to their new home in Canada yesterday. I knitted them in a soft brushed mohair and mama cat stands a proud 7 inches tall. I so enjoyed making up this order:)
Happy Saturday to you all...
Linda
They are darling. And what adventures they may have as they travel to their new home! I am sure they will arrive with many stories to share.
ReplyDeleteYour cat family is beautiful, Linda. The mohair yarn is just perfect for kitties.
ReplyDeleteThose are just beautiful Linda.
ReplyDeleteWarm wishes,

What wonderful kitties. i recently knitted a kitty for my little girl in alpaca and let's just say it seems to be shedding like a real kitty. But it is so incredibly soft and wanted to make it extra special.
ReplyDeleteYour new cats are beautiful with that lovely, soft mohair!
ReplyDeleteAww those kitty cats are just adorable. You're just so talented Linda.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet Linda, beautiful and delicate. I love the mohair.
ReplyDeletei love your work....but my mother -in-law decided that the blue bird you knitted was a dog toy...are you willing to allow another blue bird into our home.
ReplyDeleteWhat precious kitties. I can see why Kye loved them so. And I am sure they will find a happy home in Canada.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Elizabeth
I love the cats and the hedgehog. They are just so adorable. So lovely.
ReplyDeleteHello Linda,
ReplyDeleteI recently tried making the same pattern for my daughter's Playgroup classroom. However I only started knitting this year (well since I was 10) and I just went with two squares...
My body looks pretty much like yours.
But.
My head looks a little like Frankenstein's cat!
Could you give me some pointers on how to finish off the head neatly - if you DID use a square, and how to attach said head onto the body.
I wish I had taken some pics - but I gave kitty to the teachers at the end of term as a thank you gift.
I'm wondering if they'll let the kids near her?
